Guam - In cheerleading news the annual Guam National Youth Football Federation's cheer competition will be held at the UOG Field House on Monday, October 24 starting at 6:00 pm. 7 squads will be participating in the event show casing their skills in front of 5 judges. Here's Selena Breland with more on the event.
Cheer Competition Coordinator Selena Breland told KUAM Sports, "This is a night for the GNYFF girl's to shine; we brought this competition together as an annual event so the girl's can participate and show what they have done all season. They have supported the football team and players all season long and this is a time for them to shine and chance for the team to come out and support them.
"Each squad will be performing for 2 and a half to 3 and half minutes segments and it will include a cheer and dance and stunt portion. It's a special night for them so we hope that everyone can come out and support them. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies given out to the girls, all the girls will be given out a participation award as well. Talent Box will also be performing along with the Island All-Star Cheerleaders as well."
