Guam - In wrestling news, the 2011 FDMS "Phoenix" Open Invitational Wrestling Tournament takes
place tomorrow morning starting at 9am at FD'S Phoenix Center.
Weigh-ins for the tournament is going on as we speak and will be $20.00 for
each participant. This is a landmark event as it will be the first ever
"Collegiate" style invitational wrestling tournament hosted by a
local high school on Guam.
The tournament brings together former, current, and new up
and coming wrestlers to the mat. The tournament is meant to provide a showcase
for the upcoming high school interscholastic wrestling season, and promote an
environment where friendship, sportsmanship, and respect for ones opponent can
be modeled and be further developed by all participants, coaches and fans.
Admission for the event is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for
