Guam - After a downturn from the effects of the Japan earthquake in March, the Guam Visitors Bureau is working to diversify its markets and strategies to attract more visitors to Guam. Speaking before the Rotary Club of Tumon Bay, GVB director Joann Camacho tells KUAM News that the agency has stabilized the downturn in visitor arrivals and is now back to normal in visitor arrivals.

She says the next step is going after more businesses, adding, "We're looking at other markets - China and Russia is an option and we're really going after that in a big way 1332 we have existing markets that we want to grow like Korea and Taiwan and other areas like Philippines and just also promoting Guam as a clean and safe destination."

She adds that GVB is trying to corner the meetings, incentive, convention and exhibition or mice market down the road.
