Guam - The George Washington Geckos traveled to Yigo to take on the Sharks in girl's high school volleyball. Both teams came out playing with a lot of energy and finding open spots on the court to put the ball down and pickup points. They exchanged point for point looking to gain the edge as the first set was coming to a close.
The Simon Sanchez Sharks pulled through and took the first set 25-21. In the 2nd set the girls looked warmed up and ready to go hustling on the court putting both of their defenses to work. After a back and forth battle the visiting Gecko's squeezed out the 2nd set win 27-25.
With the 3rd and final set deciding the winner the crowd got louder with every point scored giving both teams more adrenaline. Tied at 25 a piece both squads would exchange point after point until the Geckos were able to muster 2 more points and take the 3rd set 30-28 for the win on the road.
