Another Parole Board appointee faces confirmation

Guam - Another Parole Board appointee made by the governor will go up for a confirmation hearing on Monday at 8:30am. Joana Margaret Blas was selected to serve a four-year term on the Guam Parole Board. This is the third appointee to the board.

The board has not heard any parole cases for the past six months due to a lack of members. On Tuesday more confirmation hearings for Oscar Calvo and David Matanane to serve on the Chamorro Land Trust Commission, John Taitano to serve on the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board and John Rios to serve as the BBMR director.
