Guam - It's a request you don't hear about very often - Joseph Elibosang has asked to be put in jail until he can get into the Lighthouse Recovery Inpatient Unit. Elibosang has been serving a term of three years supervised release after admitting to stealing plaques from the Asan Memorial.
According to court documents, Elibosang missed several mandatory drug tests and when he finally submitted to a test last week, he tested positive for crystal methamphetamine and told authorities he is having difficulty staying off Ice.
The Federal Probation Office has asked that Elibosang be summoned to appear in court to show why he shouldn't be detained for violating his conditions of supervised release.
The request was granted, as a summons has been issued and Elibosang is scheduled to appear in court on September 9.
