Guam - While there's concern over whether the buildup will actually happen, Japan's Defense Ministry has set up a task force to facilitate the realignment of United States forces in Japan. According to the Stars and Stripes, the Realignment Task Force is made up of specialized teams that will plan and coordinate the Futenma and Guam moves as well as find a place for U.S. pilots to practice aircraft carrier landings.
The article states team members will work closely with U.S. officials of Department of State, Department of Defense, National Security Council, the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, U.S. Forces Japan and the Japanese Government.
