Guam - There's still no word on how much closer International Bridge Corporation is in obtaining a full occupancy permit for the new John F. Kennedy High School campus. The company had provided assurances to the Government of Guam that it would obtain the necessary permits by today.
The opening of school has already been delayed by one week to allow additional time for the contractor to complete the work and allow staff to prepare the campus for students. As of news time, Public Works had not been contacted to conduct a final inspection to issue the occupancy permit.
Director Joanne Brown told KUAM News that no permit has been issued yet, but Public Health confirms that IBC has requested an inspection for Monday afternoon at the earliest.
