Guam - The island's public safety community is sharpening their skills. Guam Homeland Security State Training and Exercise Program Manager Ed Artero says officials took a series of training under the FEMA incident command system in order to get up to date with the national standards for common terminology used when handling emergency situations.
He told KUAM News, "A lot of the time with our island community it's a multi-agency response so having everybody on the same page is a good criteria to have so everybody's on the same understanding when it comes to emergencies."
He adds a "train the trainer" course will be held on Tuesday at the Sheraton Resort.
