Guam - Having recently gone through a change in their vision, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam organization spoke before the Rotary Club of Tumon Bay on a new outreach initiative. Coordinator Tim Reynolds says the organization is best known for making a different in a youth's life by matching them with a volunteer on a one to one basis.
He said, "We know finances are an issue in the world and us in the social services are good about telling those heart stories but we also need to tell that monetary story. 'Start Something' is one of our new outreaches that we're trying to touch folks with to let them know that we are donor as well as a volunteer driven agency."
After more than a decade on island, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam has held steady on 150 matches and continues to look for more volunteers to help out with their mission.
