Medicare Assistance Program suspension

PRESS RELEASES - The Director of the Department of Public Health and Social Services would like to inform the public that assistance and counseling services provided by the Guam Medicare Assistance Program (Guam MAP) within the Division of Senior Citizens will be suspended from:

•       August 8, 2011 through August 12, 2011 as staff will be attending a required grant training; and

•       August 22, 2011 through August 26, 2011 as staff will be conducting Medicare training for newly recruited program volunteers.

Medicare beneficiaries in need of assistance may call 24-hours a day:

•       1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) or visit www.medicare.gov for matters relating to Medicare Part A (Hospital) and Part B (Medical); or

•       1-888-867-5564 for matters relating to Medicare Part D (Prescription).

Should you have any questions, please contact the Division of Senior Citizens at 735-7388 between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, except locally recognized holidays.
