Guam - GPA is reporting that Cabras 2 is currently offline but workers are currently repairing a few mechanical problems at the plant. GPA spokesperson Art Perez tells KUAM that one of its big generators went out shortly after 8 this evening and may have caused a short outage in the villages of Yigo, Sinajana, Barrigada and Upper Tumon.

He adds that backup generators were able to quickly restore power in these areas while work is being done at Cabras 2.

The situation is still being looked into.
