Guam - More ancient human remains and artifacts are being uncovered at the Gun Beach area - the same place where the new Linala Cultural Park and Beach Bar is located in Tumon. Baldyga Group project manager Ernie Galito says some ancient artifacts were removed from the site.
Archaeologists were also at the site this past week making assessments. The area is cordoned off with concrete blocks. Galito says they are being respectful, as the bones were not removed and remain buried on the grounds.
He adds a traditional blessing was also held for the remains.
Guam High School and surrounding homes at Naval Hospital have been evacuated after a bomb threat is called in Thursday afternoon. The threat specifically targeted the school. GPD and Navy police are sweeping the area with K-9 units. The Naval Base Guam Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit is standing by in the event anything is found.
