Guam - Congratulations to brothers Jonah and Gavin Whitt along with their cousin Kai McDermott who all won gold medals recently at the kids worlds Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament. Kai McDermott took gold in the 4-5 year old age group in the 51-pound weight class.
Kai is from Guam and now trains at Conde Koma in Los Alamitos, California. Jonah Whitt hails from Guam and trains under Gracie Barra. Jonah took gold in his weight class of 106-pounds and fought a kid a belt higher than him to take gold.
This year marks the most participants in the kid's world's tournament. There were over 700 competitors, the most they have ever had.
