Guam - A man is in very serious condition at Naval hospital after he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a pole in Hagatna on Tuesday evening. Guam police spokesperson officer AJ Balajadia says police officers responded to the accident around 8:35pm near the Hagatna McDonalds restaurant along route 4.

The lone male operator has not been identified. GPD highway patrol officers are diverting all northbound traffic from Ordot towards Sinajana. Balajadia adds one lane remains open for traffic heading southbound from Hagatna, as authorities continue their investigation to determine how the man lost control the 1993 Nissan 240Xs he was driving.

Police are also investigating whether speed or alcohol are factors in the crash.
