Guam - Team Justice and IP&E took to the court for this year's GHRA Championship Game at the Tamuning Gym. Big Man James Collins with the feed inside for Justice. Scramble for the loose ball, Edgardo Baza with the ball takes it up but shots off, #26 Talledo with the put back for 2 of his 11-points on the night.
Roque Charfarous using his speed to pick up another 2-points for Justice finding the open spot in the defense. IP&E off on the 3-point attempt, Francis Benitez with the rebound taking it back up. He finished with a game high 38-points. More from the Red and Yellow, Red and Yellow, Yu with the nice reverse lay in from the baseline. Off the inbound Justice catching IP&E sleeping on defense, long pass down court to Reggie Rechabong who gives it up to Brain Aflague for the bucket.
Justice went on to win 70-64 behind James Collins who put up 26-points, Reggie Rechabong added 13 in the win.
Chief Justice Robert Torres with Team Justice said, "We've been here four different times in the finals and have always come up short including losing some heart breakers and it was a tough game tonight. Shell is an excellent team and we knew they weren't going to give up and they managed to make it a very close game there at the end."
James Collins added, "We have been playing together for a long time and we have had a lot of success and that's mostly due to our teamwork and not any one individual person. A lot of these guys that play out here tonight on Shell, we've been playing against them for a long time and they're a good team but we managed to put out today."
And Reggie Rechebong told KUAM Sports, "I would like to thank my team, awesome team and I would never want to play with anybody else and this one's for the Chief Justice and I just feel great getting him one and hopefully a lot more to come."
