Guam - In motocross news, Round 8 of the 10 Round Monster Energy Guam Motocross Championships were held over the weekend at the Guam International Raceway in Yigo. In the 85cc minibike class, JR Cepeda took the first of two heats with Anthony Ignacio right behind him the whole way. Heat 2 went to Anthony Ignacio after Cepeda went down after crashing down hill.
Cepeda was able to get back on his bike and finish 2nd while Marshall Vawters took 3rd. Marcus Manglona blazed the course in the Open Mini ATV Class against 15 other riders. Mason Manglona finished in 2nd, Isaiah Reyes finished in 3rd. Open ATV Class#1 Rob Bucek swept both heats to take the Round 8 win, Donavan Pitter and Shane Reyes finished in 2nd and 3rd.
Round 9 of the Monster Energy 2011 Guam Motocross Championships will be held on Sunday July 24that the Guam International Raceway in Yigo.
