Guam - Guam National Guard Adjutant General Major General Benny Paulino was honored Saturday at the Adelup lawn during a resumption of command ceremony. "This day brings me a sense of pride and humility I am very proud to have been chosen to lead an organization that has the finest soldiers and airman in the entire United States National Guard organization," he said.
It was a resumption of command ceremony because General Paulino previously served as adjutant general from 1996 to 2002 and just recently reappointed to the post by Governor Eddie Calvo. Paulino was in charge of the Guard during some of the island's most challenging times for example during Supertyphoon Paka, Typhoon Chataan and Supertyphoon Pongsona, as well as the 1997 Korean Airlines crash.
