Guam - Congratulations to the Moylan's O.D.C Braves who have won their 3rd consecutive BBL Baseball Championship Title with the 14-6 win over the AK Islanders. After losing the opening game the Braves had won 3 straight looking to close out the series in Game 5.
AK was able to take game 5 and blow out the Braves in game 6 forcing game 7 in a winner takes all matchup. Game 7, saw Braves pitcher Paul Pangelinan go the whole game recording 5 strikeouts on the mound as his team kept the lead the entire game. BJ Balajadia had the hot stick for the Braves going 3-5 with 2 homeruns and 3 RBIs. Dale Alvarez was 2-5 with 2 RBIs, Tony Yatar finished 3-5 a homerun and 2 RBIs.
"Defense really wins championships," said skipper Al Tsusui, "because the pitcher now can pitch the way he wants and the offense gets time to come in and do their job so it was a good team effort."
Balajadia said about being 3-time champions, "I'd like to thank the families, fans, baseball league and everybody who has supports baseball. I love you guys!"
