Guam - This Wednesday is the last day for the public to submit comments on the reappointment of District Court Magistrate Judge Joaquin Manibusan. A seven-member panel was tapped to consider the reappointment. The panel is made up of Attorneys Fred Black, Pat Civille, John Gorman, Elyze McDonald Iriarte and Howard Trapp, as well as Jeni Shimizu and administrator of the courts Perry Taitano.

The magistrate judge's term is set to expire in February of next year and the panel will review his performance on the job in conducting preliminary court proceedings and trials.  A recommendation will be submitted to Chief Judge Frances Tydingco Gatewood.

All comments from the Guam Bar and the general public are due by Wednesday, July 13 to the District Court's Clerk of Court.
