Guam - The A.K Islanders battled back from being down 3-1 in the best-of-7 championship series against the Moylan's O.D.C Braves to force game 7. The Islanders were facing elimination last night and brought their sticks to open the floodgates to rack up a 15-3 win over the Braves in front of a packed Paseo Stadium.
AK led 8-0 early in the ball game and added to their lead in the eighth where they tacked on 6 more runs. Starting pitcher Joe Pangelinan went 4 innings and recorded 3 strikeouts, Louis San Nicolas came in relief and earned the win along with a strikeout. At the plate Jimmy Reyes ripped a grand slam and finished the game 4-5 with a run and 6 RBIs, Dominic Cruz went 3-6 with a run and 2 RBIs for the Islanders in the win.
Game 7 is scheduled for this Friday at 7pm at the Paseo Stadium.
