Guam - James Alger was sentenced to four years and three months behind bars after pleading guilty to possession with the intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine. Alger admitted to traveling to California in 2008 where he purchased 39 grams of the drug Ice and mailed it to himself on Guam.

Because of his cooperation, the feds asked for a reduced sentence, which was granted.  The District Court has recommended Alger serve his sentence at a facility on the U.S. West Coast and undergo an intensive drug rehabilitation treatment program. He must self-surrender to the U.S. Marshals Service when the Bureau of Prisons designates a facility for his incarceration.
