Guam - Monday marks National HIV Testing Day and the National Association of People with AIDS in partnership with the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention will be conducting testing nationwide. This year's theme is "Take the Test, Take Control". In the last 25 years there have been more than 225 HIV cases reported to Public Health.
On Thursday free STD/HIV testing will be available at the Micronesia Mall's North Wing From 10am until noon. The agency will also be offering a free immunization clinic for adults and children 2 years of age and older.
You should bring your latest shot record as well as photo identification.
It's the second of its kind happening this year. The Department of Youth Affairs hosting its youth services outreach event over the weekend. DYA partnering with other government and non-profit organizations to put on the event for our youngsters. The goal - to provide services and information to families who are not aware of the resources available to them in the community. It's efforts officials say is being offered to help keep kids out of trouble.More >>
