Guam - A jury has found Anthony C. Flores not guilty for the murder of Sherri Lea Taylor at the Hamilton Hotel in 1999. Taylor was found beaten in her hotel room but died several days later at Naval Hospital.
The prosecution told jurors that Taylor was "savagely beaten" and argued the defense's theory that she died of hepatitis of the liver failed miserably.
Defense Attorney Randy Cunliffe had asked jurors to render a verdict of not guilty, saying the prosecution "made things up" and didn't provide any evidence that his client beat Flores or was responsible for her death.
