Adelup fiscal team looks for GPD funds

Guam - Governor's Deputy Press Secretary Phill Leon Guerrero confirms the fiscal policy team is looking for funding the Guam Police Department says it needs to stay current with overtime for the remainder of the fiscal year. The Department of Administration is processing the $300,000 from the supplemental appropriation to pay GPD officers the more than $200,000 they are owed in overtime as well as a $500,000 civil fine from the feds for non-payment.

GPD Captain Mark Charfauros says the agency still needs an additional $300,000 or they will be faced with the same problem of not paying officers OT.
