Guam - 19-year-old Angel Cruz was arrested for allegedly breaking into and stealing items inside a parked vehicle in Tiyan early Monday morning. According to the magistrate's complaint, Cruz was walking to the store when he smelled the adhesive from the window tint of the vehicle.

Cruz then allegedly stuck his hand in the window and found a plastic bag of items on the rear seat. Court documents state Cruz later went back to the car where he allegedly made another attempt to take items from inside.

Documents state Cruz heard people at the vehicle and then hid in the nearby bushes. The complaint states individuals at the scene-heard noises coming from the bushes behind the house, and a male individual then grabbed Cruz and held him until police arrived.

Cruz was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle, breaking of a window glass to gain access to a vehicle, and theft of property.
