Guam - Just in time for Memorial Day, the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 668 broke ground on the new Memorial Wall in Mangilao. VVA president James Matanane said there is no price tag for the 76 names that will be inscribed on the wall. Instead, they say the wall will be a historical landmark.

The construction of the wall is made possible through donations of Vietnam veteran families and local businesses and organizations. He told KUAM News, "It is very fitting that we honor their selfless sacrifice for everyone's freedom. This memorial will also show their families our gratitude and ensure them that their loved ones legacy will never fade nor be forgotten.

"We will always have them in our hearts and prayers."
