Guam - Public Health is releasing preliminary information and feedback from questionnaires sent to out to parents related to food poisoning outbreak that occurred as five southern Department of Education schools several weeks ago. A total of 292 students and DOE staff experienced symptoms of food poisoning.
Public Health is not releasing the results of the preliminary tests conducted on food samples by the Guam National Guard, until confirmed results are returned from Hawaii's Department of Health. While officials say the issue is complex and requires considerable time and effort to complete, DOE's legal counsel is also reviewing the contract with food vendor King's to determine if there are any legal remedies that can be taken.
