Guam - Several professional staffers from various congressional committees will be on Guam this week on a fact-finding mission to see first hand whether the island is ready to handle the military buildup. "They're going to visit currently our facilities, are we ready what needs to be done," said Speaker Judi Won Pat.
"They're also going to meet with government officials they want to make sure...they want to see where possibly these H2 workers are going to be house the area they need to look at that."
The speaker the staff-del will be in Guam next Friday. The staffers are from various congressional committees such as the Judiciary, Foreign Affairs, Transportation, Finances and Utilities. Won Pat says the group will be on an aggressive schedule and will meet with the legislature for about a half-hour.
