Guam – The Guam Department of Education announces all schools will be open and meals will be served today. DOE is assuring parents all precautionary measures are being taken to ensure the health and safety of all students. Public health is investigating possible causes of the student illnesses following today's food poisoning outbreak at five southern public schools that sent nearly 300 students to the hospital.
Food service management contractor, King's Restaurant and public health is working with DOE to monitor the preparation and transportation of meals to all satellite school sites, including the serving of these meals. Family members are urged to contact their respective school principals if they have any questions.
