Guam - The wait for the John F. Kennedy High School student directed film "I Heart GU" is over. A technical difficulty prevented the movie, which is a fundraiser for the senior class, from premiering at the end of April.

I Heart GU director and JFK senior Neil Romero said, "The computer was playing tricks on us, it didn't render in time, and there were power outages that night, so we had to postpone the movie because of all the mishaps that happened." Romero along with fellow JFK senior Justin Baldovino directed the film, which is about a teen who faces a dilemma of chasing his dream off-island or remain happy here.

JFK senior Chad DeSoto, who plays main character Hayden, says working on the film was difficult but rewarding, saying, "It's not everyday you get an opportunity to work on a movie, while you are in high school, I took the opportunity in strides, tried to enjoy it as much as I can."

I Heart GU premieres tomorrow night at the Micronesia Mall's Tango Theaters. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at JFK High or at the theater. The movie begins at 6pm, with performances of the local artists who provided the music for the film.
