Guam - The Guam Power Authority confirmed that Guam is experiencing an islandwide blackout just after 3:30 this afternoon. According to GPA Spokesperson Art Perez, crews are assessing the situation and trying to determine what may have caused the massive outage.

He adds they are in recovery mode and working on getting critical areas up first. Perez adds that while they work to restore power, residents can expect power fluctuations. He could not say how long before power is fully restored, however urges residents to ensure their sensitive items such as air conditioners and computers are protected.
