Guam - The Commission on Decolonization should be up and running within the next few weeks. Assistant Secretary of Insular Affairs Tony Babauta recently affirmed the Department of Interior's commitment to provide $250,000 in federal money for the Commission.
Additionally, the Calvo Administration has identified $240,000 to fund the Education Outreach Plan that the Commission develops. Governor Eddie Calvo has made several appointments to the Commission and has asked island leaders to make their respective appointments so that the 11-member group can convene.
