Guam - Port Authority management and the board will hold a working session tomorrow to discuss an implementation plan from the Maritime Administration. The plan outlines the mechanics of how the first phase of the port's $102 million modernization effort should go.

It was initially developed by port management and its consultant, PB Americas, but MARAD reviewed it and made some revisions that are now under review by port officials. The Maritime Administration will oversee the port implementation plan with their consultants, EA Engineers.  The board is hoping to get all stakeholders on the same page with the first phase of the plan.

MARAD representatives are expected to be on island later this month before the board meets again at the end of the month.
