Homeless outreach on Wednesday

Guam - The 4th Annual Homeless Awareness Outreach event will be held tomorrow. The annual event is hosted by the Guam Homeless Coalition, the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority and private sponsors. Hope for the Homeless Passport to Services will be held tomorrow from 9am-3pm at the Tamuning Gym.

GHC chairperson Shelly Calvo said, "This program will actually give access to immunization to a lot of things like HIV testing, vital checkups there will also be haircuts and other information will be provided there such as employment housing and legal services and mental as well."

The stats show that the number of homeless people has been increasing over the years in Guam. According to the numbers, there are 1,541 homeless people on Guam. Yigo holds the largest population of homeless people totaling 625, while Dededo has 418.
