Make Your Mark: Dominic Blas

Guam - Dominic Blas is making his mark as part of the reggae band Tribal Theory. Formed in 2005,they are one of SoCal's most sought after groups. One of the forces behind the group is Blas who plays the ukulele and is a founding member of the group. 

Tribal Theory just released their first album and they took their Pacific island roots and fused it with reggae, ska and a little bit of rock. Blas along with two other original members - vocalist A.J. Blount and guitarist Rich Duenas began as performers in a Polynesian dance group. Vocalist Ku Hawkins later joined the group along with bassist Mike Paulino, drummer/vocalist Nico Tuilesu and keyboardist Paul Bowen.

They have performed alongside other notable artists such as Barrington Levy, Collie Buddz, Katchafire, Natural Vibrations and Sashamon, just to name a few.

Dominic is the son of Marcella Oliva Blas and Henry Flores Blas (Familian Dero) formally of Barrigada/Dededo and now residing in San Diego.
