Guam - A break from previous meetings, the Guam Education Board held a breakfast board meeting at Finegayan Elementary School this morning. Issues such as the fiduciary agent's draft corrective action plan to get the Department of Education off high-risk grantee status was discussed along with consolidated grant money that DOE is waiting for reimbursement.

Superintendent Dr. Nerissa Underwood says the reimbursement is just waiting written approval by USDOE, which could happen any day now. "The 2010 consolidated grant at least $23 million, but also included in that will be the carry over from the 2009, so you're talking about close to $40 million."

According to GEB member Joe San Agustin, he would like to see a breakdown of where the reimbursed monies will be going to. The board meanwhile also approved the 2012 School Year calendar.
