24 bills signed, Bill 80 not among them

Guam - Senator Ben Pangelinan is two for two, another one of his bills was the sole piece of legislation to be vetoed by Governor Calvo. A total of 24 bills were signed with the exception of Bill 80. The legislation would have created a qualified certificate review board which the governor said triggers the unintended consequence of a conflict of interest for the Office of Public Accountability.

The governor recommended that Senator Pangelinan work collaboratively to achieve their mutual desire to improve transparency and accountability in government programs.
