NAVFAC launches buildup project site

Guam - NAVFAC Pacific is releasing more information regarding the proposed construction projects related to the military relocation for Fiscal Year 2012. Residents can view project details on the Cultural Resources Information Web Site. The community can also view written descriptions of each project at the Guam Historic Resources division in Agana Heights.

The latest project the community can comment on is the NCTS Finegayan water utilities project. According to the site, the project proposes work that includes seismic fault, geotechnical/ geophysical, and topographic surveys and munitions explosives of concern clearance in preparation for the construction of water and wastewater utilities infrastructure. The project will also comprise of landscaping, site improvements and support facilities such as fencing, parking and road systems.

The comment deadline for the project is May 31.

Comments on the identification and evaluation of historic properties within specific project footprints will be accepted for 45 calendar days after each project is posted.
