Guam - Bureau of Budget Management and Research director Benita Manglona says General Service Agency officials worked late last night to process a majority of the requisitions under DPW's Limited Obligation Highway Bond. She says 18 out of the 29 requisitions received were processed before the midnight deadline.
More than $400,000 slated for emergency vehicle repairs were in jeopardy because the deadline to spend those funds expired today. Senator Tom Ada sent a letter to BBMR requesting the remaining funds not processed be withheld from being re-appropriated.
Ada's legislation - Bill 142 - seeks an extension for the expenditure of the funds. The bill will go up for a public hearing on April 21.
