Pangelinan asks AG for payment reduction

Guam - Senator Ben Pangelinan believes there's justification to seek a $3.5 million reduction in court-ordered payments for the amended permanent injunction. In a letter to the attorney general, the Democrat lawmaker asks that a request for reduction in the payment schedule be made immediately.

Pangelinan cites an Office of Finance and Budget report recommending a $3.5 million reduction in the payments for expenses in the plan that were not incurred throughout the year. Pangelinan contends the government cannot afford to continue to give a blank check for court-ordered mandates.
