Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo this morning signed a proclamation declaring this week as Guam Library Week and today as Library Workers Day. The week recognizes the programs and services the library provides on a daily basis to the community.

Program coordinator Frank Aflague admits the one thing they are working to accomplish is renovating the main Nieves M. Flores Memorial Library downtown in Hagatna. "We are considering looking at the maintenance of the building, so that's in the process of being talked about especially with the repainting and water blasting because especially now with financial times its kind of difficult," he said.

"But we do got some very good supporters."
