Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo and Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio are continuing to gather input from the community. This Friday they are hosting their first community forum to address federal - territorial issues.

These forums are being held in lieu of the Guam First Commission and until such time legal questions are resolved.

According to the Governor's Office the forums are meant to hear from the public on GovGuam's dealings with the federal government on matters ranging from the military buildup to longstanding issues such as war reparations and compact impact reimbursements. The forums will run for two hours and will focus on one topic at a time. This Friday's topic will focus on self-determination.

Commission on Decolonization executive director Ed Alvarez will present the commission's issues and the administration's plans to move forward with a vote on self-determination. The floor will be open to hear your ideas, questions and suggestions after his presentation. The community forum will be held at the Cabinet Conference Room at Adelup from 9 in the morning until 11.
