Guam - The Department of Education continues to work with the Guam Police Department to catch the suspects behind the string of break-ins at numerous public schools. According deputy superintendent Arlene Unpingco, they've been able to identify the culprits involved in at least one of the incidents and hope to catch more
"I know with Benavente Middle School, the school was very aggressive in trying to identify the suspects. And it's my understanding that this has occurred. So I'm working closely with the schools in trying to seek out the information so that we can identify the individuals," she told KUAM News.
In the meantime, DOE is hoping to soon start up a School Watch Program, which may be implemented first at George Washington High, M.U. Lujan Elementary, Simon Sanchez High and Astumbo Elementary School.
