Guam - Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo issued a statement today regarding the visa waiver interim-final rule, saying, "The interim rule released yesterday clarifies that holders of British national overseas passports from Hong Kong are included the Guam-CNMI visa waiver program - this is not the final rule.  This is a matter that I and other stakeholders on Guam raised with the Department of Homeland Security to clarify in the interim-final rule.

"I continue to urge DHS to include China and Russia in the final rule."

In addition, Bordallo says she will continue to advocate for Guam to be included in the secretary's parole authority for Chinese and Russian visitors. She says expanding the expanding the parole program for Guam may help to offset decreases in tourism from Japan.
