Guam - Rosalina Gabutin has admitted to stealing more than $95,000 in rent payments that were supposed to go to her employer. The 42-year-old woman entered into a plea agreement after being charged with multiple counts of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft.
Gabutin was an administrative assistant with Golden Formosa Jewelry International Guam. According to court documents, she was responsible for collecting rent from various commercial properties her boss owned and deposit them into his checking account. Instead, she admitted to pocketing the money. The crimes occurred between May 2009 and July 2010.
Gabutin also admitted to forging numerous checks.
