Guam - Senator Ben Pangelinan didn't have to wait long to get a response from Governor Eddie Calvo. The lawmaker wrote a letter to the governor requesting he immediately appoint the three remaining members needed for the Chamorro Land Trust Commission board. The confirmation hearing for two - Rita Franquez and Michael Borja - was held Monday.
According to Governor's Deputy Press Secretary Phil Leon Guerrero, as soon as those two are confirmed there will be a quorum for the commission because Governor Calvo has chosen to retain the standing appointments for Oscar Calvo and David Matanane.
Governor Calvo meanwhile appointed Amanda Santos as the fifth and final member on Monday.
