Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo and senators Frank Blas Junior, Judi Guthertz and Rory Respicio now have a better understanding how U.S. Marines operate their bases. The delegation toured the Marine Corps base at Quantico, Virginia.
Headquarters Marine Corps Pacific Division Director Bryan Wood said the orientation demonstrates the Corps' commitment "Toward working with the people of Guam to ensure a mutually beneficial and sustainable Marine Corps presence on the island."
Governor Calvo said the tour today helped him better understand the safety measures that are put in place for the military's firing ranges.
