Guam - A 48-year-old remains in serious condition at Naval Hospital, as the island learned of disturbing details about that riot in Yona last weekend that led to an ATV crash, putting its operator in the hospital on a ventilator. Seven people were arrested in connection with the incident including a 16-year-old boy and his parents.
The boy is being charged as an adult and was identified as Jerret Taisipic Muna.
He was magistrated in the Superior Court on charges of aggravated assault and possession and use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony. According to court documents, the victim was trying to leave on a four-wheeler all terrain vehicle when he was approached by several people carrying two by four wooden sticks.
The ATV flipped backward trapping the victim underneath. Muna allegedly hit the man in the back of the head with the wood while others kicked and punched him repeatedly as he was pinned under the ATV.
The victim remains at the Naval Hospital, listed in serious condition, being treated for a skull fracture, multiple broken ribs and a brain injury.
