Guam - Dozens of women gathered at Adelup today as Acting Governor Ray Tenorio and Acting Lieutenant Governor B.J. Cruz declared March as Women's History Month. The ceremony spoke on the accomplishments and critical roles that women play on our island community.

Women serving in the military were also recognized for their involvement in fighting for our freedom.

Over a dozen of other local women's clubs were also thanked and recognized at the event. The 5th Annual Women's Veterans Conference will also be held this Friday at the Outrigger as well as an annual Women's Art Show later at 6pm that evening at the Infiniti Gallery at Nissan Upper Tumon.
